Band Notes 7–5–2022
Greetings! here’s the news:
This is the First edition of our Newsletter for the 2022–2023 School Year — Welcome!
We currently have 116 students registered for Marching Band & Guard!
If you are participating in the Fall 2022 season, and any possible trips for the 2022–2023 school year, you must either attend tomorrow’s practice(s) or you must email me the reason you are missing tomorrow. This is not an unreasonable request! If we do not hear from you when we begin assigning drill spots, then we will assume you are not participating…
Rehearsal July 6, 2022
July 6 will be the first rehearsal for 2022. All students, other than ColorGuard, are expected to attend — UNLESS you are on vacation!
If you are away, and plan on participating PLEASE email me now (or as soon as possible) to advise your absense at jamesmiller@bunnellband.org
Schedule for July 6:
8:45a — Enter through the Gym Lobby and report to the Band Room (Band officers will be there to guide new members).
8a — full officers meeting (including Guard Captains)
9a — full band meeting
9:30a — sectionals
10:30a — ensemble
12p — dismissal (short officers meeting to follow)
Marching Basics July 6, 2022
All students, including veteran members, drumline & pit (yes pit — everyone should learn Basic Marching!), should attend the Marching Basics on July 6 from 6:00pm — 7:45pm at the Bunnell Parking Lot & Side Field (map).
These practices are essential to our success and everyone should make every effort to attend!
If you have to put your windshield washers on due to the rain (this is for every week), then practice will most likely be canceled.
Text messages will be sent out the day of any practice to advise cancelleation. To receive a text message, sigh up below.

First year members should take a second part (except trumpets — please take 3rd). The ONLY difference between a first or second part is that, one plays higher notes than 2.
Color Guard — July 13
Color Guard for the Fall 2022 season will continue on the side field.

Students are expected to attend practices if they are in town. Vacations are excused.

Conceptos básicos de marcha 6 de julio de
