A few Clarifications — please take 5 minutes to read through:
Band Parents URGENT
Due to unforeseen circumstances we find ourselves in need of a Band Parent President for the upcoming year. Please email me if you would be able to help out these amazing students!
In addition — we will need a Vice President as well.

Drumline Practice June 5 6p-8:30p
There will be a Drumline practice on June 5 in the BHS Band Room.
- All new members (Drummers, guitars, keyboards, mallets etc…) will meet at 6p.
- All returning members will join them after the Band Awards conclude at approx 6:30p
Band Awards — June 5
All NEW Officers should report to the Band Room no later than 4:45p to help move equipment to the Cafe
This is for all Fall Band & Guard members
Band Awards will be June 5 in the BHS Cafeteria. There will also be a very brief Band Parent meeting at the same time & location.
- 4:45p — Band Officers (new) meet at the Band Room
- 5p — Students arrive at the Cafe
- 5:30p — Students have dinner, Band Parents have meeting
- 6p — Awards presentation (informal)
- 6:45 — Dismissed (drummers return to practice in the Band Room).
Band Practice June 12
There will be a brief rehearsal for ALL Band and Guard members on June 12, 2024 at the BHS Band Room.
This is for all NEW and RETURNING members of the Band & Guard
Here’s the schedule:
- 8:30a Officers meeting
- 9:00a Full Band Meeting
- 9:10a Sectionals
- 10:00a Ensemble
- 11:00a Dismissal
- officers will stay and organize the Band Room & Dungeon and be dismissed prior to 1p
Students should plan on taking their instruments home for the summer. This includes ALL DRUMLINE members. Pit Members — you will move your equipment to the Dungeon at 11a

The following students participated in the Fall 2023 Marching Band & Guard — but as of today have not registered yet (Red = SHS):
Band Parents RSVP for Awards Night
PLEASE — RSVP for band awards night ASAP!
This is PARENTS only — students are already counted in the numbers.
The annual Marching Band Awards Night will be on Wednesday, June 5th at 5:00 pm in the Bunnell Cafeteria. The Band Awards Night is for all fall Marching Band and Color Guard students.
Students and families should arrive at 5:00 pm. We will be providing pizza at 5:30 pm with awards at 6:00 pm. Families are invited and we are asking for a $ 5 donation per person to help defray the cost (all band and guard members will attend at no charge). This is an informal event!
During dinner, there will be a brief Band Parents Meeting. This will be a nice opportunity to introduce (or re-introduce) the E-Board members, meet new band parents and to have a brief conversation about what is coming up over the summer, review fundraising and any other band business, and to start to prepare for our fall outdoor seasons.
We would love to see EVERYONE turn out on 06/5.

Práctica de batería 5 de junio 6:00 p. m. a 8:30 p. m.
Habrá una práctica de Drumline el 5 de junio en BHS Band Room.

Los padres de la banda confirman su asistencia a la noche de premios
¡POR FAVOR — Confirma tu asistencia a la noche de premios de banda lo antes posible!
Esto es solo para PADRES — los estudiantes ya están contados en los números.
La Noche Anual de Premios de la Banda de Marcha será el miércoles 5 de junio a las 5:00 pm en la Cafetería Bunnell. La Noche de Premios de Banda es para todos los estudiantes de la Banda de Marcha y la Guardia de Color del otoño.
Los estudiantes y las familias deben llegar a las 5:00 pm. Estaremos brindando pizza a las 5:30 pm con premios a las 6:00 pm. Las familias están invitadas y solicitamos una donación de $5 por persona para ayudar a sufragar el costo (todos los miembros de la banda y la guardia asistirán sin costo alguno). ¡Este es un evento informal!
