Band Notes 6–1–2020
Greetings!
No video Band Notes this week, I'm just going to give you a few updates:
Assignments/Grades
Power school has been updated as of 12 PM today. There are still many students who are missing assignments. I will accept assignments through this Friday.
There will be no new assignments this week, so that you can catch up on your band assignments, or assignments for your academic classes.
Returning Stuff
We will set up at day/time to get the following from you:
- Any Uniform Parts
- Music from the concerts
- Any School owned instruments that will NOT be in use for 2020
- Text Books from Music Theory Class
Senior Recognition
The students are putting together a little senior recognition ceremony. Social distancing, and masks, required. As soon as we have details, we will let you know.
Awards
We will also do a zoom awards night, like we do every year in the cafeteria. I will let you know the day and time, and you can login and I will run the ceremony from my home. Students will receive their awards the next time we are together, hopefully at Band Camp! Seniors, your awards are already waiting for you in your grad bags.
Fall 2020
I am holding out hope that we will still be able to do something this fall. It will all be determined by what the athletic association does. Stay tuned, we may be OK! In the meantime, you should proceed as if we are going to have fall season. You should start learning your music, and section leader should start thinking about when and where we will hold sectionals, once we open up.
Videos
Will be producing a couple of videos for the end of the year. One will be for the Drumline he never got proper closure on their season, and the second will be a year in review for all students with a tribute to the seniors. I'm working on those this week, and they will be jam packed with still photos and videos! Maybe even some surprises!
Indoor Obligation Reduction & Payments
We are pleased to announce that the indoor fundraising obligation is going to be dropped from $455, down to $250, per member.
If you paid your indoor obligation for the 2020 winter season in full, you will have a credit that you can apply towards the fall 2020 season, or the band trip.
If you did not pay your indoor 2020 winter season in full, then you only need to make up the difference up to $250.
We would like all students to be paid in full by June 1 please. Use the link below to make a payment now.

Band Trip
We are still proceeding with the trip as planned. Please make sure you have your $50 per person deposit into Super Holiday Tours as soon as possible to guarantee your plane ticket. You can visit the band website and click on Hollywood trip, and then navigate to Super Holiday Tours to make your deposit.
