Band Notes 5–31–2022
Greetings! Here’s the news:
Great Job!
A great job at the parade yesterday! Even after the electronics overheated — the drummers came through in a BIG way!
The entire group looked great, and considering we did that performance, the first parade in 3 years, with NO REHEARSAL was a testament to our amazing students!
And — many thanks to our terrific parents who were on duty with water and transportation for our equipment.
I was reminded yesterday that Dave has been our “Q” (James Bond reference for quartermaster) for TEN YEARS now! So when you see Dave — tell him thanks!

Band Jackets
I was told that Band Jackets will ship THIS week… FINALLY!
There was a supply chain issue, and they wouldn’t produce any jackets until they had all of them.
Color Guard — June 1
Color Guard for the Fall 2022 season will continue, 6–8p on the side field.

Students are expected to attend practices if they are in town. Vacations are excused.
Drumline — June 2
This is the last practice of the spring.
Band Elections — June 1
Students wishing to run for office (President, VP etc…) should attend — and ALL students should attend an VOTE! Section Leaders will be appointed that day as well, and anyone wishing to be an officer MUST attend!
Band Tour — June 6
Indoor Drumline & Color Guard Captains will do a tour to Flood MS & Wooster MS on June 6.
Here’s the schedule:
7:30a — bus from SHS to BHS
8a — meet in Band Room at BHS
8:30a — load and depart
9a — set up at Flood
10a — perform
1030a — depart for Vazzy ($10 CASH)
11:00a — lunch
12p — arrive Wooster
12:45p — perform
1:15p — depart for BHS — unload, dismissed
Band Awards Night June 9
Date — June 9. All awards will be presented that night. Students MUST attend Memorial Day Parade and must be current with their Band Financial Account.
6:00p — arrive BHS Cafe
6:30 — Pizza
7:00p — Awards

¡Saludos! Aquí está la noticia:
¡Gran trabajo!
Un gran trabajo en el desfile de ayer! Incluso después de que los componentes electrónicos se sobrecalentaran, ¡los bateristas llegaron a lo GRANDE!
¡Todo el grupo se veía genial, y considerando que hicimos esa presentación, el primer desfile en 3 años, SIN ENSAYOS, fue un testimonio de nuestros increíbles estudiantes!
Y — muchas gracias a nuestros maravillosos padres que estuvieron de servicio con agua y transporte para nuestro equipo.
Ayer me recordaron que Dave ha sido nuestro “Q” (referencia de James Bond para intendente) ¡desde hace DIEZ AÑOS! Así que cuando veas a Dave, ¡dale las gracias!

Chaquetas de banda
Me dijeron que Band Jackets se enviará ESTA semana… ¡POR FIN!
Había un problema con la cadena de suministro y no producirían ninguna chaqueta hasta que las tuvieran todas.
Guardia de honor — 1 de junio
Color Guard para la temporada de otoño de 2022 continuará, 6–8p en el campo lateral.

Elecciones de bandas — 1 de junio
Los estudiantes que deseen postularse para un cargo (presidente, vicepresidente, etc.) deben asistir — y ¡TODOS los estudiantes deben asistir a una VOTACIÓN! ¡Los líderes de sección también serán designados ese día, y cualquier persona que desee ser un oficial DEBE asistir!
Gira de bandas — 6 de junio
Indoor Drumline & Color Guard Captains harán una gira a Flood MS & Wooster MS el 6 de junio.
Aquí está el horario:
7:30a — autobús de SHS a BHS
8a — reunión en la Sala de Banda en BHS
8:30a — cargar y partir
9a — instalado en Diluvio
10a — realizar
1030a — salida hacia Vazzy ($10 EN EFECTIVO)

Noche de premios de bandas 9 de junio
