Parent Pick Up after a Contest
Parents — please be prompt when picking up your child at the end of the event. Our staff members & Parent volunteers have had to wait a significant amount of time for some parents to arrive to pick up their child.
I publish the times here every week so please be diligant and arrive in time to pick up your child. Thank you!
Band Rings
Band Rings will be delivered TODAY at BHS. I will announce when they are available.
Drumline Show at New Milford HS 3/9/2024
Here is the schedule for the day:
12:00p — Report BHS Band Room (eat lunch prior to arrival)
4:00a — Load the Truck
4:30p — Bus to New Milford HS — bring food for the Bus Ride
7:36p — Perform!
9:45p — Awards, depart for BHS
10:45p — Arrive BHS

Reminder — if you are leaving a show early, or arriving with your own transportation — please use the Alternate Transportation form. The form MUST be signed by the Principal 2 days prior to the event.
This is for families that have to get to another event, not for students who just don’t feel like riding the bus!

March 16 — Indoor Guard & Drumline Home Show
March 16th will be our Home Show for Indoor Guard & Drumline held in the BHS Gym.

This year we have currently have TWENTY Guards and ELEVEN Drumlines! This is a HUGE event and we will need “All Hands on Deck” from our amazing crew of Band Parents & Volunteers.
Reminder — ALL Parents must volunteer at this event, not just parents of those students who participate in the Indoor Season. Why, you say? Simple: All of the proceeds from the event are put towards EVERY student’s account, not just the Indoor students…
If you do not volunteer that day, then your child’s account will be charged a non-volunteer fee of $75. You may have a proxy volunteer — another family member (not the student) over the age of 18.
St. Patrick’s Day Parade — March 15
Flood & Wooster students please provide transportation to BHS and arrive no later than 8:30a.
All students should arrive dressed “Waist Down” in their Band Pants & Band Shoes (black socks).

- 08:45am — BHS students Report to the Band Room (Change & Load Truck) short rehearsal in the Band Room. We will bring SHS Uniforms to the parade.
- 09:00am — SHS Students perform at Town Hall
- 09:30am — 2 Busses Depart BHS for Bridgeport
- 10:00am — 1 Bus Departs SHS for Bridgeport
- 11:00am — Load out & line up
- 12:00p — Parade Steps off
- 12:45am — Lunch at Vazzy ($10 cash)
- 1:15pm — 2 Busses Depart for BHS, 1 for SHS
- 1:45pm —Unload into the Band Room
- 2:00p — dismissed
Students will need $10 cash for lunch
Indoor Season Tour March 25
- 08:45am — SHS students picked up at SHS (BHS Load Truck)
- 09:00am — BHS Students load Bus (one bus) & Truck.
- 09:10am — Bus Departs BHS
- 09:20am — Arrive Flood Gym — set up floor mat & Drumline.
- 10:00am — Perform for All 7th & 8th Grade Band students
- 10:45am — Load out — drive to lunch
- 11:00am — Lunch at Vazzy ($10 cash)
- 12:00pm — Arrive Wooster — load into Gym
- 12:45pm — Perform for All 7th & 8th grade Band Students
- 01:15pm — Load out — depart for Bunnell, SHS Bus back to SHS
- 01:30pm — Unload into the Band Room — busses at 02:10pm.
From the Parents eBoard
1) Please sign up to volunteer for the indoor show on March 16th. Reminder: All families are required to have at least one volunteer even if your student is not participating in indoor. The fee for not volunteering is $75.
2) We are in need of cans of Coke, Diet Coke, Sprite, and Ginger Ale for our home show on March 16th. Please drop off when you come to practice.
3) Ad Book ads are due today! You can find all of the information here. This link includes everything you need to submit your ads. Any questions about ads can be directed to bunnelladbook@gmail.com
4) Please share the flyer for our indoor show with friends and family or via your social media!
5) Can and Bottle Drive this Saturday, 3/9, 9–12 AM in the Eli Whitney bus loop. Volunteers are needed, come help for whatever time you can give! Please share the flyer below.

Recogida por los padres después de un concurso
Padres — por favor sean puntuales al recoger a su hijo al final del evento. Los miembros de nuestro personal y padres voluntarios han tenido que esperar una cantidad significativa de tiempo para que algunos padres lleguen a recoger a sus hijos.

¡Este año tenemos actualmente VEINTE guardias y ONCE líneas de batería! Este es un evento ENORME y necesitaremos “Todas las manos a la obra” de nuestro increíble equipo de padres y voluntarios de la banda.
Recordatorio — TODOS los padres deben ser voluntarios en este evento, no solo los padres de los estudiantes que participan en la temporada interior. ¿Por qué dices? Simple: todas las ganancias del evento se destinan a la cuenta de CADA estudiante, no solo a los estudiantes de Interior…
Si no es voluntario ese día, se le cobrará a la cuenta de su hijo una tarifa de no voluntariado de $75. Puede tener un voluntario apoderado — otro miembro de la familia (no el estudiante) mayor de 18 años.
Desfile del Día de San Patricio — 15 de marzo
Los estudiantes de Flood y Wooster deben proporcionar transporte a BHS y llegar a más tardar a las 8:30 a.m.
Todos los estudiantes deben llegar vestidos “de cintura para abajo” con sus pantalones y zapatos de banda (calcetines negros).
