I have learned that there will several Disney Executives that will now be in attendance at the screening, as well as the Director of the film — Jing!

Luggage & Packing

To Clarify:

There will be no checked luggage at the airport. We will load ALL TRAVELER’S luggage on the truck (this includes Parents, Chaperones & all Add on travelers) at 4p Tomorrow.
For 2a on Thursday: You may bring ONE “Personal Item” (a backpack, purse etc… that fits under the seat in front of you) on the bus then on the plane.
A “Carry on” is a suitcase that fits in the overhead bin on the plane. You may NOT bring a “Carry on” (if you do there will be a $65 charge).
We will have no reason to go to the baggage claim when we land.

Packing Tip

Please pack your “Premiere” clothes last, so that they are at the top of your luggage when you open it up.

Please remember to bring food/snacks (no drinks) in your “personal item” (backpack etc..)

Truck Loading Party — TOMORROW!!!

3:45p — arrive BHS Band Room — drop luggage outside by the side Band Room Door (door to the gym where we load the truck)
4:00p — in your seats w/instruments in hand
4:15p — load instruments onto the truck
4:30p — load your luggage (hand it up)
4:45p — pick up your covid testing kit
4:5op — wave goodbye to your stuff!

Screening Time Change

Disney has asked for a Chang(e) in the screening time.

The following is the new schedule for the 16th, once we land.

(I think this works WAY better for us!)

09:04a — ***Group 1 arrives. Bring $ to purchase food at the Airport

10:24a — ***Group 2 arrives. Bring $ to purchase food at the Airport

11:15a — Depart motorcoach for the DISNEY STUDIOS LOT.

12:15p — upon arrival — students will unload luggage from the truck & change in shifts in the provided changing rooms/restrooms that Disney will provide.

01:00p —walk around the studio lot, food available for purchase at the Disney Commissary

01:30p — Enter Theatre

02:00p — SCREENING — Chang Can Dunk!

04:00p — Disney will provide a PIzza Dinner in their commissary

05:00p — depart for the Hollywood Bowl — visit and take photos

05:45p — arrive at Mann’s Chinese Theatre. Sightseeing

07:00p — depart for hotel

08:00p — arrive hotel, check into rooms, Room Captains inspect rooms, free time

10:00 p— room checks, lights out

Covid Tests & Masks

ALL TRAVELERS will receive a covid test kit (2 tests) for testing 2 days prior to departure. It is suggested that all travelers test at that time. These will be distributed at the truck loading party tomorrow.

Masks will be distributed on the bus at 1:30a. All travelers should wear a mask on the bus and on the plane. Each traveler will receive several masks

Parking when we leave

Parents should park between spaces 90–103 in the staff parking lot. These spaces are outside the C-Wing doors and are in the center part of the lot with yellow lines. (not the old senior parking lot).

Financial Contracts

Financial contracts were sent to several students. Just a reminder that you MUST have the signed contract PLUS one payment returned BEFORE we get on the bus… please don’t put us both in an embarrassing situation at 2am on Thursday!

Room Numbers & Flight Assignments

I will have the Bus assignments, the flight assignments & the actual room numbers for you by Friday.

Medication Form

Please fill out this form ONLY if you will need to take medication while on the trip.

The form that is required for students to travel with all meds, over the counter and prescription, is on the link below.

Over the counter meds and inhalers can be self administered as long as the “ may self administer” box on the form is checked.
Controlled medications such as Adderall, Vyvanse, Concerta, Focalin, Valium…….must be administered by a certified staff member.

Important Reminders:

Medication Authorization form needs to be completed by the parent and doctor.
All questions, details, signatures and contact information must be filled in.
It is recommended when sending medication for the trip you pack ONLY what is needed, not an entire month’s supply…..

Equipaje y embalaje

Para aclarar:
No habrá equipaje facturado en el aeropuerto. Cargaremos TODO EL equipaje del VIAJERO en el camión (esto incluye a los padres, acompañantes y todos los viajeros adicionales) mañana a las 4:00 p. m.
Para 2a el jueves: puede llevar UN “Artículo personal” (una mochila, cartera, etc. que quepa debajo del asiento de enfrente) en el autobús y luego en el avión.
Un “Carry on” es una maleta que cabe en el compartimento superior del avión. NO puede traer un equipaje de mano (si lo hace, se le cobrará un cargo de $65).
No tendremos ningún motivo para ir a la recogida de equipajes cuando aterricemos.

Consejo de embalaje
Empaque su ropa “Premiere” al final, de modo que esté en la parte superior de su equipaje cuando lo abra.
Recuerde llevar comida/refrigerios (no bebidas) en su “objeto personal” (mochila, etc.)

Fiesta de carga de camiones — MAÑANA!!!
3:45 p — llegada a la sala de banda de BHS — dejar el equipaje afuera por la puerta lateral de la sala de banda (puerta del gimnasio donde cargamos el camión)
4:00p — en sus asientos con instrumentos en mano
4:15p — cargar instrumentos en el camión
4:30 p — carga tu equipaje (entregárselo)
4:45p — recoge tu kit de prueba covid
4:5op — dile adiós a tus cosas!

Cambio de horario de proyección
Disney ha pedido un Chang(e) en el horario de proyección.
El siguiente es el nuevo horario para el día 16, una vez aterricemos.
(¡Creo que esto funciona MUCHO mejor para nosotros!)
09:04a — ***Llega el grupo 1. Trae $ para comprar comida en el aeropuerto
10:24a — ***Llega el grupo 2. Trae $ para comprar comida en el aeropuerto
11:15a — Salida del autocar hacia DISNEY STUDIOS LOT.
12:15p — al llegar — los estudiantes descargarán el equipaje del camión y cambiarán de turno en los vestuarios/baños provistos que Disney proporcionará.
01:00 p.m.: paseo por el lote del estudio, comida disponible para comprar en el comisario de Disney
01:30p — Entrada al Teatro
02:00p — PROYECCIÓN — Chang Can Dunk!
04:00p — Disney ofrecerá una cena con pizza en su economato
05:00p — salida hacia el Hollywood Bowl — visitar y tomar fotos
05:45p — llegada al Teatro Chino de Mann. Pasear
07:00p — salida hacia el hotel
08:00 p — llegada al hotel, registro en las habitaciones, los capitanes de las habitaciones inspeccionan las habitaciones, tiempo libre
10:00 p- controles de habitación, luces apagadas
Pruebas y máscaras Covid
TODOS LOS VIAJEROS recibirán un kit de prueba covid (2 pruebas) para realizar la prueba 2 días antes de la salida. Se sugiere que todos los viajeros realicen la prueba en ese momento. Estos se distribuirán mañana en la fiesta de carga de camiones.
Las máscaras se distribuirán en el autobús a la 1:30 a.m. Todos los viajeros deben usar mascarilla en el autobús y en el avión. Cada viajero recibirá varias mascarillas
Estacionar cuando nos vayamos
Los padres deben estacionar entre los espacios 90–103 en el estacionamiento del personal. Estos espacios están afuera de las puertas del ala C y están en la parte central del lote con líneas amarillas. (no el antiguo estacionamiento para personas mayores).

Contratos Financieros
Se enviaron contratos financieros a varios estudiantes. Solo un recordatorio de que DEBE tener el contrato firmado MÁS un pago devuelto ANTES de subir al autobús… ¡por favor no nos ponga a los dos en una situación embarazosa a las 2 am del jueves!

Números de habitación y asignaciones de vuelos
Tendré las asignaciones de autobús, las asignaciones de vuelo y los números de habitación reales para usted el viernes.

Formulario de medicamentos
Complete este formulario SOLAMENTE si necesitará tomar medicamentos durante el viaje.
El formulario que se requiere para que los estudiantes viajen con todos los medicamentos, de venta libre y recetados, se encuentra en el siguiente enlace.
Los medicamentos de venta libre y los inhaladores se pueden autoadministrar siempre que se marque la casilla “puede autoadministrarse” en el formulario.
Los medicamentos controlados como Adderall, Vyvanse, Concerta, Focalin, Valium….deben ser administrados por un miembro certificado del personal.

Recordatorios importantes:
El formulario de autorización de medicamentos debe ser completado por el padre y el médico.
Se deben completar todas las preguntas, detalles, firmas e información de contacto.
Se recomienda que cuando envíe medicamentos para el viaje empaque SOLO lo que necesita, no el suministro para todo un mes…..
