a few quick items & updates

Truck Unloading Party

The truck will be at BHS today at 5p. Please arrive to pick up your luggage no later than 5:30p. Indoor drumline students are encouraged to bring their luggage inside during practice (5:45p-9p)

Drumline Tonight

• 5:45p — arrive, set up
• 6p-7p — sectionals
• 7p — 9p — main gym

March 2 Screening

There will be a Connecticut Screening of “Chang Can Dunk” at the Avon theatre in Stamford on March 2. Here are the details:

• It may be limited to only those students who were part of “Chang’s Band” from the filming, plus ONE parent each. (I hope to know more later today). If we can add more, it will be the other students (plus one parent each) who were part of the filming.
• students will need to dress as they did for Disney.
• It will start at 6p
• I’ve been told that the Mayors of Stratford & Stamford, as well as the Governor of Connecticut, will be in attendance.
• They are also inviting the crew and anyone who was part of the production

St Patrick’s Day Parade

We will perform in the St Patrick’s Day parade in Bridgeport on March 17. SHS students will attend their trip. FMS & WMS students are invited to attend.

• we will wear the same uniforms that we did in Disney
• we will play the same music we did in Disney
• drummers will learn the full Carnivalito
• the parade is .5 miles total and is in Blackrock

08:30am — report BHS Band Room — dress, warm up, tune up, run through, load busses

09:30am — Depart for Bridgeport

12:00pm — Parade Steps off

12:45pm — Arrive Vazzy Stratford for Lunch

01:30pm — depart for Bunnell

01:45pm — Unload into the Band Room — busses at 2:00pm.

Fiesta de descarga de camiones
El camión estará en BHS hoy a las 5 p.m. Llegue a recoger su equipaje a más tardar a las 5:30 p.m. Se alienta a los estudiantes de línea de percusión interior a traer su equipaje adentro durante la práctica (5:45 p.m.-9 p.m.)

Proyección del 2 de marzo
Habrá una proyección de Connecticut de “Chang Can Dunk” en el teatro Avon en Stamford el 2 de marzo. Aquí están los detalles:

Desfile del día de San Patricio
Actuaremos en el desfile del Día de San Patricio en Bridgeport el 17 de marzo. Los estudiantes de SHS asistirán a su viaje. Los estudiantes de FMS y WMS están invitados a asistir.
usaremos los mismos uniformes que usamos en Disney
tocaremos la misma música que hicimos en Disney
los bateristas aprenderán el Carnivalito completo
el desfile tiene un total de 0,5 millas y está en Blackrock

08:30 am — reportar a la sala de banda de BHS — vestirse, calentar, afinar, recorrer, cargar autobuses
09:30 am — Salida hacia Bridgeport
12:00 p. m. — Desfile de pasos
12:45 p. m. — Llegada a Vazzy Stratford para el almuerzo
13:30 — salida hacia Bunnell
