Indoor Will Begin this Week!
We will begin indoor this week!!!
All rehearsals and recording sessions (all competitions will be virtual) will be held in the Building at BHS.
Competitions will be in the MAC & USBands (and potentially other) Circuits.
Our “Home” show will be the Mac Championships!

Greetings, BHS/SHS Band, Drumline, and Color Guard Parents and Students,
We are pleased to announce the Indoor Season will begin for the 2021 season
Please read this communication thoroughly.
Please Note: We are proceeding with the very best of hope and intention, BUT, since we can not control what may happen, we all need to be aware that rehearsals will cease if the school were to return to full-time distance learning at another point in time…
Goals and Objectives:
* To provide the opportunity for students to feel a return to a sense of normalcy within an activity that they love;
* To provide a safe and healthy environment in compliance with the NFHS and CT State Recommendations;
• To keep our program moving forward;
* To compete on a national level while receiving input and feedback from professional adjudicators.
Schedule:
- Guard will be going two nights/week, Monday (6–9) and Thursday (7–9), and then Saturdays from 1 PM to 4 PM to video record for the competitions. All in the Aux Gym (main gym for recording).
- Drumline will go one night a week, Thursday from 6 to 9 PM and Saturdays from 10 AM to 12 noon, For recording. All sessions will be in the Band Room & The Auditorium.
- We will be having a Senior Recognition Night (possibly virtual and potentially in person)
Rehearsals will begin THIS week and will continue through Mid-End of April.
Safety Protocols & Procedures
will be announced shortly.
Fees:
- The student fee for the Indoor Season 2021 will be $150 (regularly $450.)
- This fee covers the cost of design, staff, and equipment.
- We will need the same number of staff members that we
normally use to ensure that each group of students has its own staff member;
***All participating members MUST pay the $150 IN FULL at the first rehearsal!!!****
In addition, any student who has a balance from a previous year MUST have a signed contract on file at the HS and MUST be current in payments on that contract, PLUS pay the $150 in full, otherwise, the student will not be permitted to attend any rehearsals or other BHS activities;
