URGENT & AMAZING Updates!
Color Guard Cancelled tonight
Due to the impending storms and 50mph winds, we are cancelling practice tonight. We will resume on Saturday at Eli Whitney at 9a-4:30p (bring a lunch!)
HUGE News! — PLEASE READ & RESPOND
The Musical Arts Conference (MAC) Indoor Guard championships were scheduled to take place at Sacred Heart University on April 1, 2023.
We are currently scheduled to host our Indoor Color Guard & Indoor Drumline Show on March 11, 2023.
Sacred Heart has pulled out and MAC has asked, based on our fantastic parent organization and our commitment to providing great opportunities for ALL students, that WE HOST the Color Guard Championships! That means EVERY guard that competes during the Indoor Season and all of their spectators will be here!
This is a HUGE honor, as only Trumbull HS has hosted the Championships for as long as I can remember.
However — we will need you! We will need volunteers and LOTS of them.
In addition — MAC has offered to let us keep our March 11 date as well — proving us with two HUGE revenue generating events. But again — we will need you!
Every time the call is made, the Bunnell Band Parents have answered. We have NEVER backed down from a challenge — after all — isn’t that what we want to teach our kids? When we said — “Disney is coming, let’s be in the film” we answered the call, we rose to the occasion and we emerged victorious. In 2002, right after 911 — we packed almost 250 people onto airplanes and flew to California to perform in the Tournament of Roses Parade on Global Television. We’ve never backed down from a challenge.
So…
We will need volunteers to staff BOTH of these events. March 11 & April 1. We need parents from the Indoor Guard, Indoor Drumline, & from those who only participate in the fall.
Remember — all proceeds from these events go to lower the cost for ALL students, not just the Indoor Guard & Drumline Students.
Please consider helping at BOTH events. We really need ALL HANDS ON DECK for this amazing opportunity!

Guardia de color cancelada esta noche

¡ENORMES noticias! — POR FAVOR LEA Y RESPONDA
Los campeonatos Indoor Guard de la Conferencia de Artes Musicales (MAC) estaban programados para llevarse a cabo en la Universidad del Sagrado Corazón el 1 de abril de 2023.
Actualmente estamos programados para albergar nuestro Indoor Color Guard & Indoor Drumline Show el 11 de marzo de 2023.
Sacred Heart se ha retirado y MAC ha pedido, en base a nuestra fantástica organización de padres y nuestro compromiso de brindar grandes oportunidades para TODOS los estudiantes, ¡que SOMOS ANFITRIONES de los Campeonatos de la Guardia de Color! ¡Eso significa que TODOS los escoltas que compitan durante la temporada bajo techo y todos sus espectadores estarán aquí!
Este es un GRAN honor, ya que solo Trumbull HS ha sido sede de los campeonatos desde que tengo memoria.
Sin embargo, ¡te necesitaremos! Necesitaremos voluntarios y MUCHOS de ellos.
Además — MAC también nos ha ofrecido mantener nuestra fecha del 11 de marzo — probándonos con dos ENORMES eventos generadores de ingresos. Pero de nuevo — ¡te necesitaremos!
Cada vez que se hace la llamada, los padres de Bunnell Band han respondido. NUNCA nos hemos retractado de un desafío — después de todo — no es eso lo que queremos enseñar a nuestros hijos? Cuando dijimos — “Viene Disney, estemos en la película” respondimos a la llamada, estuvimos a la altura de las circunstancias y salimos victoriosos. En 2002, justo después del 911, subimos a casi 250 personas a los aviones y volamos a California para actuar en el Desfile del Torneo de las Rosas en Global Television. Nunca hemos retrocedido ante un desafío.

Necesitaremos voluntarios para el personal de AMBOS eventos. 11 de marzo y 1 de abril. Necesitamos padres de Indoor Guard, Indoor Drumline y de aquellos que solo participan en el otoño.
Recuerde: todas las ganancias de estos eventos se destinan a reducir el costo para TODOS los estudiantes, no solo para los estudiantes de Indoor Guard y Drumline.
Por favor considere ayudar en AMBOS eventos. ¡Realmente necesitamos TODAS LAS MANOS EN CUBIERTA para esta increíble oportunidad!
