Nationals this Week

Here’s the video that we will be submitting to USBands for the “Nationals” Competition:

The Awards Ceremony for this event will be Saturday, November 7 at 7p on www.flomarching.com

November 5

This is the USBands “Grand Finale” & Online Senior Recognition Video Session

Here is the plan:

5:30p — Arrive as we have done, at the tennis courts. All Brass, Woodwinds & Percussion/Pit will wear dark pants, dark shoes and a dark top/jacket. Guard attire as last week.

After check in, please report to the DUNGEON to pick up your PLUME.

6:00p — Report to sectionals (Pit bring equipment to the stadium)
6:30p — Depart for the Stadium
6:45p — 8:00p — Rehearsal in the Stadium
8:00p — Video Recording session begins
8:30p — Clean Up/Dismissal

November 12

November 12 will be our “Senior Recognition Night” for the 2020 Marching Band.

Here are the details:

1 — Parents will register online with this link — https://docs.google.com/forms/d/e/1FAIpQLSdp5mOqx6KXpH8kRIGyv5jneLw0cA8AuudBYaaaJKHdv-6pFg/viewform — you will need to register EACH family member for a ticket (Parent Volunteers need not register for a ticket). Families with 2 or more children in the program need only fill out one form per family.

2 — Senior families may have 4 guests & Underclassmen may have 2 guests

3 — Parents & all guests will be required to be screened (fever scan & health questions) & show ID upon arrival at the stadium.

4 — Guests will be required to social distance while in the stands and in lines. (Pods of families may sit grouped together).

6 — You MUST be on the “Guest List” by Wednesday, November 11, 2020 at 12NOON, to have access to the event.

The Schedule:

5:30p — Parents will drop off the Students at the Tennis courts and then proceed to park in the senior lot. Parents & Guests will then move to check in at the top of the stadium entrance (where the ticket booth is located). Parent & Guest check in will begin at 6p. Parents should form a socially distant cue at the gate.

*All Parents, Guests, Students & Staff will be screened and have a Fever Scan.

*Students & Staff will be scanned at the tennis courts at 5:30p at drop-off.

*Parents will be screened and fever scanned at the check in at the top of the stadium, beginning at 6:00p.

* There will be tables set up and check in will be done for all guests by the last name of the student

6:00p — Students get plumes & move to the stadium & set up

6:30p — Warm up, Tune up, run through

7:00p — Students Perform for the Parents & Families.

7:15p — Senior Recognition

* After performance, Senior parents & guests assemble near the field house (socially distant) & meet their child at the gate.

* Parents will be called by Family and then walk onto the field

* Pause/pose for a photo (masks off 30 sec)

* Family units socially distance themselves, in pods, on the field (by hash marks)

* One student group photo at end (masks off for 1 min only) in End Zone under Score Board

7:45p — Pack up & Dismissal (move out of the stadium, socially distanced).

We have about 92 Members, plus staff & guests — so the social distancing and mask wearing is CRUCIAL!

Students with an Account with a Past Balance

I have just re-emailed everyone with a past balance.

I ask that you PLEASE — at minimum — sign the contract and bring it in (or email it to me) by the next practice. I also ask that you make one payment, but according to the contract, the first payemnt is due December 1. BUT — I MUST have your contract THIS week!
