A few trip updates

We still have a few seats left!
We have almost everyone from the Fall Band going!

Pricing Flips & Flops

When we changed the flights (to get more seats together) the fare increased by about $180pp
When we added Universal Studios, we added another $100pp
We found a newer, better hotel closer to the parks that was about $150pp LESS
Essentially, we were able to add Universal, get a better hotel, and get better flights for about $130pp

Trip Cancellation Policy

Cancel December 21 — January 10: Lose $50 deposit
Cancel January 11 — February 1: Lose Airfare
Cancel after February 1: Entire Trip Fee (so — you will be going!)

Room Registration

Students should choose their room mates in advance of filling out this form.

4 Students per room (no mixing of Male/Female)
Students can register in groups of 2 or 4 ONLY. (rooms of 2 will be paired together, after the registration is completed)
The first person in each room is the “Room Captain”. Room Captains will receive the keys at check in and also be responsible for making sure all students are up in the am and attend breakfast.
Please read EACH question carefully as you complete the form.
These are the types of rooms. Students should (obviously) choose student performer. All others please choose the room that fits your needs. Pricing is based on total room occupancy. (4 add on travelers in one room is less than 2 and so on).

Example — if your student is attending, and you want to attend and bring your spouse plus a sibling — then you would register EACH person staying in that room as an “Add on Triple”, since the student will be in one room and the other 3 family members will be in an add on room.
Chaperones will be chosen from the add on rooms
If you do not register for a room, the Band Officers and I will assign you to a room.

Friday February 10, 2023

05:00p — Truck Loading Party. Bring all luggage & instruments to be loaded on the truck. Dave T will be leaving at 6a Saturday morning for Los Angeles. This way, we will not have to do bag drop, or baggage claim at the airport.

Thursday February 16, 2023

02:00a — Depart BHS Parking Lot via Motorcoach (Dattco)
04:00a — Arrive JFK International Airport, go through security
06:22a — Arrive LAX, meet Tour Guide & board Busses
08:30a — Arrive Mann’s Theatre. Free time to explore the “Walk of Fame” and the surrounding landmarks. Lunch on own at the food court near the Dolby Theatre.
12:00p — visit the Hollywood Bowl & Hollywood Sign
01:30p — depart for Hotel
02:30p — Arrive at hotel. Unload luggage from Truck, check in
TBA — Depart for Dinner
TBA — Arrive Disney Studios for the Screening (we will dress up for this event!)
TBA — After screening, return to Hotel, Room checks, Lights out.

Política de cancelación de viajes
Cancelar del 21 de diciembre al 10 de enero: perder $50 de depósito
Cancelar del 11 de enero al 1 de febrero: perder el billete de avión

Registro de habitaciones
Los estudiantes deben elegir a sus compañeros de habitación antes de completar este formulario.
4 Estudiantes por habitación (sin mezclar Hombre/Mujer)
Los estudiantes pueden registrarse en grupos de 2 o 4 SOLAMENTE. (las habitaciones de 2 se emparejarán después de completar el registro)
La primera persona en cada habitación es el “Capitán de la habitación”. Los capitanes de habitación recibirán las llaves al registrarse y también serán responsables de asegurarse de que todos los estudiantes estén despiertos por la mañana y asistan al desayuno.
Por favor lea CADA pregunta cuidadosamente mientras completa el formulario.
Estos son los tipos de habitaciones. Los estudiantes deberían (obviamente) elegir a un artista intérprete o ejecutante. Todos los demás, elija la habitación que se ajuste a sus necesidades. El precio se basa en la ocupación total de la habitación. (4 viajeros adicionales en una habitación son menos de 2 y así sucesivamente).

Ejemplo — si su estudiante asistirá y usted quiere asistir y traer a su cónyuge y un hermano — entonces registraría a CADA persona que se quede en esa habitación como un “Triple Adicional”, ya que el estudiante estará en una habitación y en la otra 3 miembros de la familia estarán en una habitación adicional.
Los chaperones serán elegidos de las habitaciones adicionales.
Si no se registra para una habitación, los Oficiales de la Banda y yo le asignaremos una habitación.

05:00p — Fiesta de carga de camiones. Traiga todo el equipaje e instrumentos para cargarlos en el camión. Dave T se irá a las 6 de la mañana del sábado a Los Ángeles. De esta forma, no tendremos que hacer entrega de equipaje, ni recogida de equipaje en el aeropuerto.

02:00a — Salida del estacionamiento de BHS en autobús (Dattco)
04:00a — Llegada al Aeropuerto Internacional JFK, pasar por seguridad
06:22a — Llegue a LAX, reúnase con el guía turístico y aborde los autobuses
08:30a — Llegada al Teatro Mann. Tiempo libre para explorar el “Paseo de la Fama” y los lugares de interés de los alrededores. Almuerzo por cuenta propia en el patio de comidas cerca del Teatro Dolby.
12:00p — visita el Hollywood Bowl y el cartel de Hollywood
01:30p — salida hacia el Hotel
02:30p — Llegada al hotel. Descargar equipaje del camión, facturar
